NEW YORK, October 5 (newratings.com) - Analysts at Robert W Baird maintain their "neutral" rating on Family Dollar Stores (FDO.NYS), while reducing their estimates for the company. The target price is set to $32.

In a research note published yesterday, the analysts mention that the company has posted its 4Q EPS in-line with the estimates and ahead of the consensus. Family Dollar Stores has guided to September comps of 0%-1%, marginally short of the earlier forecast of 1%-3%. A rise in gas prices could adversely impact the company’s near-term results, the analysts say. The EPS estimate for FY08 has been reduced from $1.80 to $1.78.
