On Sunday October 13 2008, Buckstore Inc staff along with the crew of Retail
Buildouts International made a visit to a DEAL$ Dollar Store $5 and less store
in West Palm Beach Florida. The objective was to see what dollar store products
were being brought in and stocked and mainly the brand name items in the
consumable categories such as cleaning items, foods, snacks, and disposable
items. Buckstore Inc will be building a 8000 square foot store in 2 weeks in St
Charles IL, and the customer wants a Dollar Store and more concept with a brand
name concept throughout the store to attract dollar store shoppers that are also
willing to pay a premium for dollar plus products. All fixtures and equipment
have been shipped to the location and should arrive by this coming Thursday.
Merchandise should be arriving by the end of next week for the dollar store crew
of Retail Buildouts International to start the work of setting up the entire
store which is scheduled to open by the 1st week of November 2008. The
categories in the store will be divided in $1 , $2, and $3 sections but the
predominant price in the store will be the one dollar store price point.
Categories to be added will be: Dollar Store Aqua Aroma and Fragrance, Dollar
Plus Baby Items, Back to School items, Balloons, Books, Candles, Candy,
Cosmetics, Decorative Linens, DVD's and CD's, General Merchandise, Gift Bags,
Giftware, Glassware, Greeting Cards, Jewelry & Hai, Key Chains, Kitchenware,
Knives, Licensed Products, Party Items, Pet Items, and approximately 12 more
categories throughout the dollar store and more concept. Full installation of a
Camera and Surveillance System will be done on the premises and it will include
a web based internet system. We are excited abgout the location as it is in a
busy area as well as in a town where a dollar store is very much needed.
Promotional Flyers and cards will be distributed prior to grand opening day to
