Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. (DLTR) reported third quarter total sales of $997.8 million, a 9.6% increase from $910.4 million in same quarter last year. Comparable-store sales for the quarter increased 1.9%.

On average, 11 analysts polled by First Call/ Thomson Financial expected the company to report revenues of $1.01 billion.

In addition, the company said it still expects third quarter earnings per share in range of $0.35-$0.38 per share. Analysts are looking for earnings of $0.37 per share.
